Saying goodbye for 18 months

Last Sunday we headed over to Dad and Diane's stake center and watched as their Stake President set them apart as missionaries.  We have quite the group!  And we are missing 2 families.  I'm so glad my kids were able to witness them being set apart.  Afterwards, we all headed to Amy's house for some root beer floats.
Here is Dad and Diane with their Stake President.  He was kind enough to let us take his picture.  I think he knew what he was getting when we asked him to take our family picture and was handed 6 cameras.
The next morning we all met at Kneaders for a going away breakfast.  The kids ate so good, and didn't make a mess.  I was so glad.
The kids had so much fun sitting at their own table.

Little Brynlee even woke up for me to take a picture.  She is so sweet.  You would never know she is there, she is so quiet.  Such a good baby!
We are outside the MTC.  They took down the MTC sign that they had outside of the gates.  It was so cold and sunny.

It is always bittersweet to see them go.  Eric told me on the way to the MTC that he is happy and sad.  He is getting so grown up.  As we were leaving the MTC Aubrey told me that she will be back, and she will be the one serving the mission.  Dad and Diane will be at the MTC until this Friday.  They got temporarily re-assigned to the St. George temple until April.  At that time, they are hoping their visas will be issued.  If they aren't by that time, there is a possibility of a new mission.  We are hoping that they will be able to get their visas.  They have both worked so hard at learning Portuguese.  Dad was so excited too when he opened up their mission call and they were going to Brazil.
